NY Times Vid

September 28, 2009 at 9:17 am (Crazy Shit, General, Memories)

This is a video on the New York Times website about water contamination by coal companies. I went to high school with the lady featured in the video and she lives about 5 miles from where I grew up. Very sad, folks. Very sad.

That is too bad. I hope the coal companies can eventually be held responsible fro the damage they do.

^It’s been a constant fight for years between the coal companies and those who actually give a shit about the environment. I can understand the need for good-paying jobs and a source of energy, but it’s disgusting how our beautiful mountains are being raped one right after another. All you have to do is drive up on the interstates and see it. Hell, all you have to do is drive a few miles from my house! It’s sick. 😡

That video does not surprise me in the least. What good are these good-paying jobs going to do if there are no more mountains for our wildlife and vegetation to thrive in? What good is all that money going to do when people are getting sick from coal companies irresponsibility?

Do these coal companies even CARE that their future generations are going to be living in these situations?

Actually, do they even care that people are getting sick NOW? Do they care that our mountains and animals and anything living is being totally FUCKED OVER right NOW?

    It’s bullshit.

Thank God I didn’t get started on the subject. 😉

Why doesn’t the EPA attack them?? They go after our chemical companies here ALL THE DAMN TIME. How is this being allowed to continue??
